Separating the kinds of mother love leaves us listless, de-politicized, anxious, empty. Who and why? The chosen people did it. The police did it. The butler did it. The corporate people spied a profit center in that love. Back in the Book of Genesis we made a deal to follow the pillar of fire, kill the goddesses and beasts and kill the natives waiting in our promised land. Or did this all happen earlier today, when I drove a car that put CO2 into the atmosphere?
